XOXO: FOMO is a narrative-driven concert project designed as the closing chapter to “XOXO,” the 20th-anniversary world tour of legendary Mandarin pop group S.H.E. While XOXO celebrated the group’s evolving public identity, FOMO turns inward, focusing on atmosphere, memory, and emotional undercurrents that resonate with longtime fans. The project encompassed all aspects of the concert's creative vision—including stage and scenic design, prop design, costume direction, scriptwriting, setlist development, and emotional storytelling.
Structured in five acts—each representing a letter of the title, X, O, X, O, and FOMO—the show explores themes of fixation, obsession, cycles, and self-confrontation. The setlist prioritizes emotionally resonant songs over iconic hits, and each act is shaped by tone and movement, guiding the audience through a layered emotional journey.
The visual language draws from the structural forms of “X” and “O,” embedded in both the stage architecture and emotional pacing—through intersecting rigging, diagonal compositions, rotating circular platforms, and a descending halo ring. Scenic concepts mirror each musical phase: a pastel-toned banquet full of theatrical sweetness, a mortuary of romantic collapse, a moonlit chamber shaped by lunar symbolism, a cluttered gas station breakdown, and a final memory hotel composed of symbolic rooms.
Every visual, transition, and medley was designed to guide fans back into their own 20-year journey—to the emotional spaces where these songs first met who they were. FOMO is not about spectacle; it’s about presence. Through abstract staging and symbolic atmosphere, the concert becomes a space of reconnection—where the audience doesn’t just watch but steps back into the feelings, memories, and versions of themselves shaped by the music. It offers a quieter, more intimate counterpart to XOXO—one that doesn’t celebrate legacy but honors reflection, not outward glory but personal time.
